THE FEAR OF CONNECTION

As humans we are all hard-wired for safe connection and mutual support. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have survived as a species. That’s why Connection is our deepest desire – and too often our greatest fear at the same time. In this workshop you will learn about the many ways trauma disrupts our capacity to create and maintain these connections that we so deeply long for – connections to Mother Nature, to ourselves and to others.

WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

This educational and practical workshop will create greater awareness on the topics of relational or childhood trauma that originates in painful heartbreaks through human interactions and often through environmental failure or misattunement during childhood.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

• This workshop will give guidance on how to recognize unresolved trauma, especially complex attachment trauma, in yourself and others.
• You will be supported in understanding your personality structure in a much better and more compassionate way.
• You will learn tools for self-regulation, grounding and embodiment.

• Becoming more aware of how these responses live in your body and nervous system
• Understanding the way you relate to yourself and others, especially to close ones and intimate partners

BASED ON WHAT?

This workshop introduces the scientific basics of the work with the nervous system as it can be found in Somatic Experiencing and TRE (Tension, Stress & Trauma Releasing Exercises). From there we will move on to taking a close look at developmental / childhood trauma and show how Alexander Lowen’s BioEnergetics has been developed further into the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM). NARM is an advanced clinical therapy approach, developed for addressing and healing complex trauma.

About the Facilitators

Matteo is a Senior teacher of Samma Karuna. He has been teaching Yoga, Meditation & Tantra since 2010. He is the founder of FREE2LOVE.it, the biggest online festival on conscious relations in Italy. Holding a German license for psychotherapy, Marc is a NARM® Therapist (Neuro Affective Relational Model), IFS Practitioner (Internal Family Systems Therapy), facilitator of TRE® (Tension, Stress & Trauma Releasing Exercises) and BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release®.
